Neat Orkestra
The Orkestra fills the room with music that feels grand, natural and alive. It plays with power and grace in equal measure — deep, articulate bass supporting an open, expressive midrange and a treble of striking clarity. The result is an immersive sound that combines scale with intimacy, capable of revealing the finest musical detail or the full force of a live performance. Drawing inspiration from both the Ekstra and the flagship Ultimatum XL6, the Orkestra uses a 75mm true ribbon tweeter paired with three 170mm drive units in a refined 2.5-way layout.
The upper section functions as a sealed two-way loudspeaker in its own right, while the lower section houses two isobarically arranged bass drivers working as an integrated subwoofer. This design delivers extraordinary low-frequency extension and control from a beautifully compact enclosure. Every component, from the minimal crossover to the hand-wired connections, is selected for integrity and musical flow. Built and tuned by ear in the north of England, the Orkestra captures the essence of live music — poised, powerful and effortlessly engaging.

Neat Acoustics Client Testimonials for Neat Orkestra
What the Orkestra does is produce a wonderfully involving sound conveying the emotions of the recording and sucking the listener in to the whole with a homogenous, three-dimensional presentation from a wide range of sources across a variety of repertoire to bring the recording alive in your home.
— ear HI FI Music Gear
Maybe musicians know something about reproducing their art which we mere spectators scrabble around trying to figure out. Bob Surgeoner has figured this out, and his latest creation delivers it in spades if you’re in this game for the right reasons I can’t see what’s not to like about the Orkestra.

Hand crafted audio excellence.
Every Neat loudspeaker is built by hand in our North East England workshop, a place where craftsmanship and musical understanding meet.
Our engineers are listeners first. Each design is refined through careful auditioning, ensuring that every model captures not only precision and balance, but the emotion that makes music feel alive.
From cabinet construction to crossover tuning, every element is shaped by experience and guided by ear. The result is sound that’s natural, expressive, and unmistakably Neat.
FAQs
Running in
All loudspeakers need time to settle. You will hear a change after around 30 hours of normal listening, though some models take up to 200 hours to reach full performance. Avoid making final placement decisions until the speakers are fully run in.
Positioning
Take your time with placement. Move the speakers a few centimetres at a time until you achieve the right balance in the room. Placing the speakers closer to the rear wall will increase bass output. Pulling them forward usually improves openness and clarity. Avoid corners as they tend to exaggerate bass and produce a heavy or boomy character
Rear ports
A rear-firing port does not prevent a speaker from working close to a wall. Low frequencies radiate in all directions rather than as a narrow beam, so a rear port does not materially alter the basic placement rules.
Stands for standmount speakers
Non-floorstanding designs need proper supports. A stable, well-made stand of around 60cm will usually align the tweeter with ear level. The quality of the stand has a major influence on performance, so choose the best you reasonably can. Your dealer can advise.
Floorstanding models
Ensure the speakers are level and properly supported. Use the supplied spikes on carpet or adjustable feet on hard floors. After-market isolation products from IsoAcoustics, SoundCare or Stack Audio can provide worthwhile improvements.
Cables and connections
The loudspeaker will only perform to the standard of the signal reaching it. Use good-quality cables, correctly terminated with soldered or crimped 4mm plugs to ensure a reliable connection. Some amplifiers require particular cable characteristics. Your dealer will advise.
Amplifier matching
The most important factor is that you enjoy the sound. That said, we have had consistently strong results with integrated amplifiers from the following manufacturers. This list is not exhaustive and should not replace a proper demonstration.
