Introducing the Iota Alpha II

A small loudspeaker, taken further.

The Iota Alpha II builds on one of Neat’s most distinctive designs and pushes it to a new level of performance. More scale, greater depth and a stronger sense of connection to the music.

Since its introduction in 2011, the original Iota has been known for delivering a sound far larger than its compact form suggests. The 2024 Iota II brought further refinement, with improved bass extension, control and power handling.

The Iota Alpha II takes that foundation and develops it further, with a presentation that feels open, balanced and complete.

At just 45cm tall, it sits easily into real living spaces. Yet from the first note, it fills the room with a sound that is expansive and assured. Voices are clear and natural. Instruments carry weight and texture. Bass reaches deeper, with control and composure.

The design remains characteristically unconventional. The upper enclosure houses the main drive unit and EMIT planar magnetic tweeter in a sealed, upward-angled configuration. Below, a dedicated low-frequency section with a downward-firing driver extends the system into the lowest registers.

A simple, carefully executed two-and-a-half-way crossover is hand-wired using premium components, preserving clarity and musical flow.

Everything works together with a sense of ease and coherence.

The result is a loudspeaker that is discreet in form, yet confident in its performance.
